So every now and then life pops up with something that you know will leave an indelible mark on your life for ever ! Well that happend with the phone call I got from Colin telling me his news……stunned.

I had been talking about taking a giant leap into the unknown for a while, and Colin’s only response was ‘Y’, in fact Colin had used that word each and every time I ever talked about tri’s ! but somehow I couldn’t get my head around it, then suddenly it became clear….a bit of pain for an incredible gain ! and then bosh Dan was in too. Old enough to know better and never imagining I would undertake another marathon we decided to go for it, and what a cause…….

So 23rd June 2013 We did it. Father and son after 6 months of  Chaffing, Injuries and Operations, new kit, a lot of sweat but in the end, together with a team of supporters and the initiative raised over £40k for Headcase. a real answer to Colin’s question.

We lost Colin on the 21st July 2013 just before we reached our target, a great bloke dearly missed.

Living in Harpenden, the eldest of three brothers all of whom have previously competed in Triathlons.

but what really matters is .. I am an Ironman!
