The 23rd May 2013 will be seared into the minds of many. in fact for those that have any memory at all it will we hope have been logged as a great evening of fun, surprise and fund raising.
We already knew we had raised £2100 in donations to secure a place which has been collected on the Just giving site.
but on the night we also raised – £810 from the Prize draw, plus dances with cast and peanut retrieval escapades (don’t ask!) and £1000 after expenses for the event sponsorship then the auction items totaled £6950
meaning the evening raised £10,860
Less what has already been listed leaves £7,950 still to log bringing the total as of today to £23,536
This is mind blowing really but also tantalizing close to the big “30” it would be absolutely fab to get there by 23rd June, that is just 29 days away!
So if you feel you can throw in another £10, £20 or £50 out of this month’s pay, or have any pending fundraising ideas you can throw into action.

Faye is arranging a Charity Fundraiser in aid of the brilliant Headcase Ironman Challenge. (the link is https://headcase-ironman.me/take a look )
The event theme is ‘ladies day at the races’.
The boys have had their fun with testosterone filled Chelsea themed events, so now it is the turn of us ladies to raise some money in style!
This will take place Saturday 11th May, at 3pm, Chic Bar, Hitchin. Proof is in the title that this is a ladies only event, a company will be attending and they provide a ‘virtual racing’ night, details below. It should be a really fun, unique event where hopefully we can raise lots of money!
The racing will be 4pm – 6pm, afternoon tea will be served together with a Champagne and Pimms on arrival. I am also looking at securing a comedian(this is speculative at the moment) which will be from 7pm – 8pm. Gentleman are welcome to join from 8pm for the rest of the evening where there will be music, dancing and lots more champagne!
Tickets will be £30, costs are extremely reasonable due to Sarah Bethel, owner of Chic kindly offering us her venue for free, so a large amount of the ticket cost will go straight to the charity.

I will also be running an auction, I have a number of lovely items prepared, but if anybody has any contacts who could make any form of donation for the auction, that would be very much appreciated

ANOTHER GREAT IDEA ! WELL DONE BECCA……

I go to Chelsea with my mate Colin and I am keen to help him raise this £30k. As one of our football boys is doing the Ironman challenge and raising funds that way and as I didn’t wanna show him up by beating him (yea right!)I thought I would do something else to raise funds.
So here it is …I’m gonna do a cake sale with all cakes being 50p – however if you want to donate more than I’m not gonna object.
I know it’s a hard time and money is tight for everyone.. But this means a lot to me and would appreciate any support (plus who doesn’t love a cake on a stressful Monday)
